The family house was full of tension as Uncle Zayne called for an emergency meeting. He had called Micheal to inform him about the current situation and the military had given Micheal permission to come home to protect his family.

More guards were stationed around the house as Gray, Austin and Ian’s family arrived. Lena’s mother was transferred home with personal doctor to continue her treatment for her protection

I stood near the window, staring out without really seeing anything.

Lena was still out there and every second that passed without her felt like a knife twisting deeper into my chest.

Behind me, more people walked into the living room. Daisy arrived with Austin holding her hand tightly and supporting her back with his other arm. Madison had arrived with Gray’s parents earlier.
