Chapter 45. Crazy in Love

Mason’s POV

I had managed to convince Ava to go with Max using Sophie as an excuse but I just wanted to give Max a chance to right his wrong and give them another chance at happiness.

But I didn’t want to regret what I did, so I decided to go after Max and talk to him. I needed to make sure he wasn’t going to hurt her again. He’d already proceeded five strides down the corridor to his office when I went after him, shouting, “Max.”

He turned, his eyebrows knitted together in seeming surprise.

“Got a minute?”
