Chapter 76. Her Alpha, His Luna
Evelyn’s POV
I slowly turned to see that Ethan was curled up against Griffin, the way they used to be when we lived together back in the city before all this chaos had begun and ruined everything.
The memories of Nolan haunted my mind, and I couldn’t shut them off: the way he had looked at me when he sent me back to the pack house and refused to have me by his side, the way he had kissed me and made me his, I couldn’t deny that I loved him and I missed him so much. I just needed to get Ethan and get the hell out of this place. I knew Griffin would be hurt and upset, but I had to think of myself and my son. Griffin was no good for us; he needed to move on and find his mate.
I carefully rose from the makeshift bed and somehow shifted Ethan from Griffin’s grip. Griffin rolled over and snored loudly, still in deep sleep, causing me to sigh in relief. I couldn’t get away from him so quickly if he woke up now.
“Come on, Ethan, let’s go home,” I said quietly
