Chapter 22. Defending Brandon
Getting up, Nikolas stormed out of his room towards the pantry.
As he walked into the pantry, he saw her sitting on a chair with her eyes closed and holding onto a bottle of water. “What are you doing here, Brooklyn?” he growled at her angrily. Why couldn’t she just eat with him?
Startled, Brooklyn stood up abruptly, but her head swooned and she lost her balance. Nikolas caught her just in time, supporting her soft, curvy body against his own. With his arm around her, he crushed her against his hard length, and it felt like heaven. “I’m okay, thank you, Mr. Ardolf,” she breathed as a tremor went down her body at his nearness, and she struggled to put some distance between them.
“Don’t compel me to use force, Brooklyn,” he whispered threateningly into her ear, his lips brushing against her soft skin. Brooklyn’s eyes widened, and she shuddered at the feather soft touch of his lips in her skin. A deep blush stained her cheeks, spreading downwards. Pleased with the eff
