“It’s kinda weird that there are so few guards around. Where did they all go?” Kathrine asked as she walked through the palace. She had left the princess’s room a while ago in search of her armor.

After a long walk through the halls, she came across the same maid she had seen before. “Hi, could you tell me where they store all the weapons and armor?” Kathrine asked as she approached the maid.

The maid took a step back, shivering in fear. “Yes, I can. Please don’t hurt me!” she stuttered with every word.

“Hurt you? Why would you think I would do that? And, where are all the guards in this palace?” Kathrine asked.

The young maid let out a sigh and replied, “A celebration of the arrival of the next king of Thronovaldera is taking place at the center of town. The only guards on duty are those guarding the royal family. Every other guard within the palace walls has gone to the celebration.”
