Chapter 6
“Well, since he’s gone, I should go too,” Anna said to herself once she finished the last few pieces of her breakfast.
It tasted really good, and she rolled her eyes at his cooking prowess. “Show off. Who goes all out for breakfast anyways?”
She started to do the dishes, tutting at finding last night’s crockery still in the sink. “Too busy to clean after yourself, Justin?” she sniffed disdainfully.
She bit her tongue when she realized just what he might’ve been busy doing.
“Oh.” Angrily deciding he could wash his own things, Anna dropped the plates noisily, rinsed her hands, and took off. Steam threatened to come out of her ears. She was that angry.
She stomped all the way up the stairs to her home and was surprised to find the door unlocked. Becky was in.
Anna was surprised to see Becky still at her apartment. She’d thought she would have either stayed with their mother or dropped by to pick up her things and leave, but there was her sister
