Chapter 40. I Will Erase It

“I’ll think about that later,” Richard told Martin.

“Very well, sir,” replied Martin.

After saying that, Martin immediately left Richard alone. Richard took a deep breath. This should have been what he wanted from the start, to erase Winona’s memory so they could return to their respective lives. They could have quietly divorced if society had forgotten about Richard’s case and the spotlight was no longer on him.

Richard went into his room, which was beside Winona’s, and lay down on the bed. He then turned on the television to pass the time. As soon as it was turned on, the TV immediately showed the news about Gina Jade, who had disappeared and was still being searched for.

“Police did not find any traces. The last time Gina Jade was seen leaving her apartment, she was never seen again. It is presumed that Gina Jade left with her manager, who is also missing,” the news anchor said.
