Chapter 41. Crashing Waves and a Broken Heart

Winona didn’t know why her heart screamed when she heard those words that came out of Richard’s mouth. However, she could only stay silent and lowered her head, then started eating. Winona tried to convince herself that returning to her life as a human and starting over from scratch was the best thing. Winona had experienced for herself how terrible her life with Richard was now. Richard’s rumors with Gina Jade were over, so there was no reason to stay in a contract marriage.

“I will prepare for a divorce soon. This is faster than what I planned before, but I think this is for your safety,” said Richard.
