The tension in the room thickened as Zach’s words hung in the air. Elder Robert’s eyes narrowed, his displeasure evident as he slowly leaned forward in his chair. “Alpla Zachery,” he began, his tone edged with warning. “Don’t think because of what happened the last time we met we would just roll over for you at your every command.
