Chapter 60. Welcome to the Dark Crest Pack

My breath hitched and I did not know what to do. What could I even do? I could not even shift into my wolf and had zero combat skills. I was of no help. 

I stood there in fear and watched as the head guard pointed his weapon at Zach. Within seconds, the Alpha reacted. “Don’t dare point that at me!” He slapped the weapon out of the man’s hands and it fell to the ground. 

All the other guards were now on alert and they were ready to react but needed a cue from their boss. 

The head guard bent down and picked up his weapon and placed it back on safety. He narrowed his eyes at the Alpha for a few long seconds before turning away and saying loudly, “Let them through! We don’t need any more problems than we already have.” 

I exhaled sharply, letting out a breath that I did not even know that I was holding. My heart was still thumping in my chest but I was so glad that this was over. The scary part was that all of this could have gone horribly wrong.&nb
