Chapter 25
Winter’s POV
I must not have heard right. A joining? Lordan intended to mate Lucas with Dorra. My chest tightened, and I felt like I was about to choke on my food for the second time. This couldn’t be happening.
Lucas spoke up with his eyes fixated on Lordan with seriousness. “You must have your tongue in cheek.”
“Do you think I have time to play around?” Lordan answered.
“Of course, I think so because I don’t remember giving you the right to make decisions about my life,” Lucas spilled and left the hall in a rage.
“Lucas! Lucas!” Lordan called, but he didn’t turn, only responding with the door slamming shut as he walked out.
I could feel the tension in my bones. Lordan also stood up from the table and exited the room. I was frozen in my chair, left alone with Dorra, who wore an annoying smirk on her face that seemed to forebode more issues.
