Chapter 31
Winter’s POV
I managed to get my hands in a stack of books, a welcome distraction from my misery. Eliza, so far, has been helping me get into writing and reading, and I have also been having less of the morning symptoms of my pregnancy.
It had also been a successful week so far of managing to keep my secret hidden from Lucas, as well as everybody else.
“Why don’t you want a taste? I personally had it freshly pressed,” Dorra said, diving a forkful into her mouth.
This general dining thing has been becoming too frequent, as well as a constant burden I had to always look forward to putting up with.
Dorra offered me some wine, which was one of the lots I’d been instructed to abstain from.
“I said I’m fine,” I maintained, tracing out a bit of annoyance in my voice as I focused on my food.
