Lordan’s POV
He managed to break free from my grasp, and as he did, his sharp claws scratched through my shirt and skin, causing blood to ooze from the claw marks and staining my clothes.
“Still as slow as ever, Lucas.”
If this were to go on, there would be a bloodbath, and it’s definitely not going to be my blood.
I decided to change tactics. I moved in on him, catching his neck in my hand and pushing him forcefully against a tree, then firmly holding him down despite his struggling. I was a hundred times stronger and faster than he was. But I had to be gentle because I needed him alive, at least for now.
“Then do it already. Kill me. I’m not going to take her as my mate,” Lucas seethed through his blood-stained teeth.
I shook my head. I wasn’t going to grant him the luxury of death.
