Chapter 63

Dorra’s POV

I woke up to see Lucas getting dressed. It felt unreal that he had slept with me out of his own free will.

Sitting up, I pulled the sheets over my chest and watched him as he dressed. My eyes traced over his body, which I had gotten the chance to explore just hours ago, and a foolish smirk tugged at my lips.

He was a fine man.

But then, his actions were making me question my own plan to distance myself from him. I shook my head, trying to dispel the burgeoning feelings. It couldn’t be that I was falling for him over a one-night stand, right?

He was especially using me to ease his problems.

“Wait,” I thought, “now it all makes sense. Something must have happened between him and Winter.”

He finished getting dressed and looked at me, just noticing that I was awake.

“Forget any of this ever happened. I was only trying to clear my head.”

“So you used me to clear your head?” I retorted.

He shrugged nonchalantly
