Chapter 12

Selene stood with her father and Gamma April in front of the pack house as they waited for their guests to arrive. The Alphas of the Red Moon Pack were to arrive soon, and Selene would have given anything to be anywhere but there. Unfortunately, it was an unwritten rule that when Alphas were visiting another pack, the Alpha of that pack and his family must be present to welcome the visiting Alphas.

This was a way to show the visiting Alphas that they were welcome to the pack. The only acceptable reason for a member of the family to not be present was if they were dead or away from the pack. Neither of those conditions applied to Selene, so she could not escape it.

The waiting party heard the sound of cars pulling into the driveway before they saw the car. Beta Evan and two pack warriors were sent to meet the Alphas at the pack borders and bring them to the pack house.
