It was a day after Alpha Damon and Alpha Darius came to her pack. Selene, her father, Beta Evan, Gamma April, and the twin alphas were going to meet later in the day to discuss the attack.

Selene was in Michael’s room, waiting for her father to let her know when it was time for the meeting. She would have declined to be present, but she needed to be there to hear all they knew about the death of her mother and brother.

“Are you okay?” Michael asked with concern. He was sitting at his work desk while she lay on his bed. She had been quiet since she came into his room, which was so unlike her. She couldn’t help it. The thought of having to talk about the death of her mother and brother was enough to sadden her for the rest of the day.
