A small group consisting of Alpha Bennet, the twin alphas, Beta Evan, Gamma April, and Selene gathered in Alpha Bennet’s office. Alpha Bennet sat in his chair at his office desk while Alpha Darius and Alpha Damon sat on the two office chairs facing him. Beta Evan and Gamma April stood on either side of the office table.

Selene was standing by one of the windows in the office, looking outside and watching other pack members go about their day. She wanted to keep a distance between herself and the twin alphas but still be able to hear the information they had about her mother and brother.

Selene’s hands gripped the window sill she held onto. She was trying to prepare herself for the things that would be said.
