Selene watched her parents holding on to each other, ‘revoltingly in love,’ as she liked to refer to the way they clung to each other sometimes. Staring into each other’s eyes like they were the only ones in the world. Anyone could feel how much they loved each other. Selene hoped to share such a connection with someone one day. Revolting and all.

A day before, her mother had told her of their decision to get a more powerful witch to help solve the mystery of her recurring birthday dreams.

“Alright, wrap up the disgusting act, people. I would like to keep my eyes,” Jayson shouted with a shudder. He couldn’t understand how his parents were still so in love after so many years.

Bennet broke away from his mate’s embrace and scowled at his children. “If you guys are so jealous, get a mate of your own and leave me with mine.”

“I’m too young,” Jayson retorted with a mischievous grin.

“And I still have a year left,” Selene said in a bored tone.
