Selene watched as Beta Evan spoke to her father, who was hunched in his office chair. Beta Evans and his team had arrived a few hours earlier with a report about the death. Alpha Bennet stopped weeping and had a blank stare on his face as he waited for his Beta. Once the group had come, they all moved to the Alpha’s office, which was in the pack house.

Beta Evans, Gamma April, Michael, Selene, and her father were the only ones in the office. Michael was allowed because he was practically family. Also, Selene needed his support. She was sitting in one of the chairs in the office.

Selene had never really liked being in her father’s office. Most of the time she was in it because she was in one trouble or another. There was also the fact that she had stumbled on her parents during a make-out session one time too many. Her brother loved the office, though.
