Chapter 11
She groaned as she listened and nodded absentmindedly at the guy in front of her. She rolled her head and swallowed, trying hard not to puke as she picked through her food, her appetite already gone.
Ah! Is it so hard to get true love in this world? This was worse, she wondered. He rambled on, not noting that the lady he was talking to had already zoned off and had stopped listening to him.
He grinned.
“We should do this again.”
She snorted. Never again. Not even in the next lifetime. She grinned back at him, a fake smile that didn’t reach her heart.
“Definitely.” She nodded. “It was fun hanging out with you, Jason. I will tell you when I am less busy.” She lied.
That was definitely going to be never. Even if she was less busy, she was never going to tell him. She would rather sit in her apartment, on her couch, and laugh at romance movie seasons or be busy giving them a logical analysis.
