Chapter 26. Kidnapped: pt. 4
Drex pulled the last loop of the rope from her hands and let it fall to the ground before turning her around to face him. Her face was plastered with tears—the kind of thing that turned him on. He pushed his glasses up the ridge of his nose with a smile before finally giving her some space.
“Go. Eat,” he gestured toward the plate of dishes sitting on the floor not far from where they stood.
“I’m not hungry,” she muttered.
Drex laughed maniacally. “You should be. Rhino’s too lazy to travel out and get groceries, and we’re out of snacks here, so this might be your last opportunity to eat something good till the week ends.”
Anna couldn’t hold back her tears when she realized it was almost evening and her mother was probably at home making dinner, waiting for her to walk in after five p.m.
