Chapter 6. I’ll Travel the Ends of the Earth Just to See You Smile
Charlotte crawled to where she had folded her clothes. Her arm was bleeding profusely, and she was very sure that if the wound was not treated, then there would be an infection coming. She moaned painfully as she tried to place herself in a sitting position.
She leaned on the tree, not bothering to wipe the beads of sweat that began to form on her forehead. She took deep, heavy breaths with the hope that the pains would subside a bit; it would take a long while for the wound to heal, especially since she had been stressed for a really long time.
She checked the time on her phone; it was past dinner time, and she needed to be home in a few minutes, or else her parents would send the pack out to look for her. If they found her in that position, then she was as good as done for.
