Chapter 7. The New Guy
Mark stared at the ceiling all through the night; he could not sleep and kept tossing and turning until he eventually got tired and decided to get out of bed. He had gone downstairs sometime during the night to get something to eat, and when he was done, he continued his ceiling gazing. His head was already aching, and since he hated taking meds, he had to suck it in until whenever it disappeared.
The night was silent as ever, but he felt it was too loud and deafening, and just then, he realized just how lonely his life was. He had no friends, and he was not the social media kind of guy who would be online twenty-four hours just to be rid of boredom.
In a bid to keep his mind busy, he sat at his study table and turned on his laptop. There were a thousand and one things he was interested in checking out, but he had to gather information about werewolves; maybe that way, he could make sense of what had happened the day before.
