Chapter 12. Three’s a Crowd
Jasmine had become a part of their little group of two. Isabella was particularly enthusiastic about this latest development, unlike Jane, who was anything but pleased to see Jasmine at every turn. Every activity that Isabella and Jane did alone in the past had now been tainted by Jasmine.
As usual, she had been pleasant to Jane, but no matter the amount of effort Jane tried to invest in being friends with Jasmine, it always seemed to backfire. She simply hated Jasmine for no good reason, and that sort of made her feel like a bad person.
It was strange, though. Jane was used to being friendly with everyone, but it took quite a generous amount of effort from her to be able to engage in a two-minute conversation with Jasmine, and that was not just because she threatened her relationship with Isabella.
