Chapter 51. A Company and More
“No one prefers Cheetos over chocolate,” Isabella gasped out. “What planet are you from?”
“Fine. I’ll be honest. I came from Mars,” Alexander replied with a straight face, which was soon filled with humor when Isabella burst out in laughter.
“It’s no wonder.”
Most of their days were filled with early-morning conversations and late-night talks. They were slowly growing closer as days passed by.
Isabella was usually coped up at home, especially when Alexander left for work. Every day, it got more difficult for him to leave her alone until Isabella began practically dragging him outside.
He tried as much as possible to return home before the clock struck ten pm, but there were moments when unforeseen workload dragged him down.
Isabella slowly adjusted to his schedule. She’d sleep throughout the afternoon, and by evening, her body was well rested. As she waited for Alexander to return, she passed the time by watching movies or scrolling through videos
