Chapter 40. Growing Pains
Lilith released her grip on them as she led them down the cave’s path.
“Come. We must get further in so no one will see us.”
They walked a short distance in, and then Lilith sat on what looked like a monument paying tribute to the pagan god Hercules. Alec rested upon a statue of Venus, and Armand rested upon a statue of Aphrodite. He closed his eyes briefly before he opened them and stared straight at Alec.
