“Why would any of our staff do something like this? We’re one of the best companies out there in terms of working conditions and worker safety,” one executive member said.
“Forget about that,” another replied. “We can think of the why after we’ve handled the how, as in how are we going to get ourselves out of this mess.”
“We can try to overcome the bad press with good press?” one suggested.
“That may end up causing more harm than good,” someone else replied. “If it comes off as though we’re just trying to divert attention, that might put more fuel into the fire.”
