Chapter 127. Dealing with Delilah
Carlos looked at the painting, jarring in its details and bold brushstrokes. He wasn’t sure what he was supposed to or expected to say, but luckily, the Man in Black saved him from the trouble.
“You see,” the Man in Black began, “it has come to my attention that you have a certain young lady in your custody and that there is a possibility that the relationship between you two does not quite look like that of a normal abductor and abductee. For example, I hear she sleeps in your bedroom.”
Carlos felt oddly embarrassed facing the Man in Black, so he trained his eyes on the painting and hoped that the man would continue speaking.
“Can you help me out here, Carlos?” the Man in Black asked. “Because I am a bit confused as to what is going on.”
