"And then we will send it off to your villa so you can close the deal with Foster.”
“Alright, then,” Carlos nodded, even though the man could not see the gesture. “Pleasure working with you. As usual.”

When the painting arrived at his villa, Carlos had it hung on the wall temporarily. He found himself staring at it for extended periods. It was a very simple painting, and Carlos was no art expert, so he had no way to ascertain what exactly it was about the painting that often left him transfixed. Perhaps it was the brush strokes; they were bold and prominent, not blending into the canvas like in some other paintings he had seen.
