Fiona woke up in an almost empty room. There was nothing but a plain twin bed, which she’d been laid on. She looked around and quickly remembered why she was here. She’d pulled the fire alarm at Pandora and had been captured by the Heir.
She dragged her fingers through her hair at the memory. She’d had her suspicions that the Heir, the Leopard Seal—the great scourge of New York City—was the guy from Vegas. He’d told her to call him the Leopard Seal, and when she’d seen him at the Pandora, her first thought was that he really was a twin and this guy, who was planning an attack on the Pandora’s Box and had such a terrible reputation, was not the sweet guy she’d spent that night with. But she’d seen the recognition in his eyes and, with it, an uncomfortable surge of bloodlust. He’d already had a reason to hate her, and now she’d shoved herself in his face and given him another reason.
