I took Tim to see Santa Claus when our number was finally called. He was practically bouncing with excitement as he climbed onto the man’s lap to receive his gift.

I smiled warmly as he ran back to me, holding the wrapped packages like they were pure gold. I unwrapped them for him, unveiling the toys and treats inside. The onlookers clapped, and I received a few nods and cheerful applause for how happy he looked.
