POV: Harmony Winters
It was the next day; morning to be precise. After hugging each other for a short while, we had decided to heed to Rhys' advice by leaving the abandoned building since there were cops patrolling the area, plus it was getting darker and Mason was all alone at home.
“Here you go,” Jackson said, passing the last omelette to Mason.
“Thank you,” Mason said, grinning from ear to ear in delight.
“You’re welcome. When you smile, you look just like my son, Adam,” Jackson said.
“I believe it’s your son that looks just like me and not the other way round,” Mason said.
“Oh, forgive me. I wasn’t that good in school. In fact, I was terrible,” Jackson said, with all sincerity.
“I know. Harm says you’re the worst at everything,” he said.
“You still say that?” Jackson asked, furrowing his brows at me.
I gave a half-smile, deciding against giving him an answer as I lifted the cup of tea to my lips, gulping the remaining content
