Chapter 10. A Fairy Tale Mansion

Leah’s POV

I listened keenly, even though I was being threatened. All I could do was sit there and listen. The words of Jules played in my head over and over. What he had told me to do played in my head like a broken record and that was exactly what I did.

I made Rafael feel like he was the boss and I was not nothing but a damsel in distress. I stared at my hands on my lap and tried to keep myself as still as I could.

When he was done talking, I still did not say anything, I just stared at my hands until we reached wherever we were going. When the car came to a stop, I finally lifted my head and looked out the window.

We were parked in front of a huge mansion and the place was stunning. I had never seen such a place like this in real life. Maybe only in movies.
