Chapter 12. The Wedding
Leah’s POV
He was joking, right? There was no way that he was serious, there was just no way. I stared at him in disbelief and swallowed hard. I shifted on my feet for a few seconds, trying to hide my discomfort and nerves that were going crazy.
“Married?”
“Did I stutter?” He narrowed his eyes at me as he started to put on his shirt. “Get ready, we leave soon. And oh, you can do whatever you want, just make sure that it’s a dress.” He shrugged. “I just want to get this sh*t over with once and for all.”
I wanted to chuckle because why was he acting like I even wanted this? Why was he acting like I was dying to marry him? He was a stranger, I barely knew him. And that was just the beginning. Secondly, he was literally rude and cold; and let’s not forget, he was the son of a mafia boss.
Why would I want to leave my normal and okay life to get into a life of drama of risks?
