Chapter 178. Making Decisions

Leah’s POV

I felt like I couldn’t breathe as soon as I found out that this was about my mother. So many questions started running through my head, and trust me, they were really dark ones.

I didn’t say anything again, it was like my lips just got glued shut as I allowed the man to lead us down the hallway. My heart was thundering and my breathing was shaky.

I could already feel a knot in my throat forming, and I didn’t know what to do to help myself from feeling what I was feeling. I hated the feeling. It made me feel like I was on the verge of having a heart attack.

I could literally feel physical pain in my chest. 

We reached a door and once it was opened for me to walk in, I realized that it was the same one that I had been in before I was taken to the jail cell.

It had the same metal table and chairs. Either I was confusing the room with the last one I was in, or it was actually the very same room.
