Theodore’s POV
“What happened to Adeline? Some of the pack members saw you rush her to the hospital. Is she okay?”
Lucian asked the moment he saw me step out of the pack’s hospital.
“I rushed here as soon as I heard the rumors,” he added, catching his breath.
“She said it’s just a fever,” I answered quietly.
“Fever?” Lucian echoed. “Can’t you see Iris’s return isn’t doing her any good?”
“Enough with this whole Iris talk. I think we should even be more bothered about Oliver and how he deceived us all. He was never on our side. And the way he treated Iris...”
“Don’t tell me you believe everything Iris told you,” Lucian snapped, stepping closer. “Don’t tell me you can’t see what she’s trying to do.”
