Chapter 59. It’s Over
Adeline’s POV
I rose to my feet, my legs were wobbly, my heart was aching. How could I love someone that wasn’t mine this much?
I turned to the table—the table I had so lovingly arranged—and before I could stop myself, I let my hand fly.
One hard sweep.

Everything crashed to the ground.
Plates shattered, food splattered across the floor, and the wine bottle rolled before hitting the leg of a chair.
