Chapter 128. Running Away
Rufus’s POV
“Shit,” I grunted, feeling panicked as I tried to think of what move to make next. My body began to feel numb, as though paralysis was taking over me. My brain was trying to process what I was witnessing, it was like something out of a horror movie. As though I was dreaming and waiting to wake up. “I need to get out of here.”
On one hand, these men were captive and imprisoned in cells down in a basement. But on the other hand, they seemed rabid. Anger filled their eyes as they stared at me and I could tell by their body language and the abuse they hurled toward me, that if I freed them I could be a dead man. Who knew how strong they were? There’s a chance they could easily take me even with my extra strength.
“Are you okay?” I asked, switching my attention to the man inside the third cage the furthest away from me. He appeared quieter and more introverted than the other two. Perhaps I could talk reason with him. “Don’t be scared, I’m here to help
