Chapter 133. Waiting for the Witch
Rufus’s POV
I began to pace across the kitchen floor as I waited for Hazel to return. The mysterious black cat sat on the counter top watching me, her green eyes narrowed as her pupils locked onto me and never let go.
“What are you staring at, cat?” I asked with frustration in my voice, stopping in my tracks briefly. “I thought we were friends, and now you’re judging me?”
It was then I felt Silver stir inside my mind as he awakened and appeared into my view. He exhaled a low chuckle before he spoke ‘You realize you’re talking to an animal which can’t communicate back, right?’
Shaking my head, I had realized I had possibly started to become delirious. I had sworn the cat had replied to me in some form. Whether it be communication by voice, or telepathic thought, she had been in there somewhere.
