Freya’s POV
“We need to talk about this,” Rufus grunted. “Please.”
I sighed, my fingers on the door handle, about to leave the Alpha’s car. “Talk about what Rufus? All we do is talk about stupid things that never get resolved.”
“I can’t stop thinking about you,” Rufus said, his gaze shifting away from my eyes as he seemed uneasy. “I came back from my trip early because…” He paused. “I goddamn missed you, Freya.”
“Are you being serious?” I asked with frustration in my voice, Rufus needed to decide what he wants and settle with that.
“Yes, deadly serious,” Rufus replied, his eyes locked back to mine. “I was hoping a week or so away from you would clear my head.”
