Freya’s POV
After spending most of the morning going into establishments and asking for work, with desperation in my efforts, I could only stand so many rejections. Looking for a job was more difficult than I thought, and perhaps I had been far too spoiled living with the Luddington’s for all this time. I guess I haven’t experienced the real world yet.
‘You know all this hassle would be saved if you just let Rufus take care of us,’ Elara appeared in my mind ‘Considering he offered.’
I huffed as I left the last store, I felt fed up now and as the rain began to fall against my face again, I was ready to go home. But I knew I had to power on.
‘No Elara,’ I said to my wolf ‘The whole point is me fending for myself, standing on my own two feet. For too long I have relied on a man to take care of me’ I pouted ‘And that nearly left me homeless, I have to make sure I’m secure.’
