Chapter 46. Succeeded
Lucas's last class for the day was over. He was now heading home to change his clothes for something formal. After getting dressed, he would go to his father's business office for a meeting, where he would have to wear formal attire.
Lucas didn't drive right away when he got in his car. Instead, he lit a cigarette and smoked for a while.
Penelope didn't want Lucas to smoke, and the man knew in himself that the former would scold him when she found out that he was doing such a thing. Still, Lucas needed that because he was so stressed out, and smoking helped him relax.
It had already been two weeks since he had gone through so much stress. He did a lot of schoolwork and then helped with their family business.
And his mother was to blame for all of it. His mother didn't want him to pay so much attention to Penelope, so she forced Lucas to take care of their business.
