“The Gem ball is held at least once in six months, it is a celebration for not only the harem ladies but all the ladies in the pack, they all wear the best designer gowns, only bright colors by the way and people will vote who is the prettiest,” Pauline explained to me. We were in a clothes store in town, rummaging through all the dresses fiercely. She popped her head out and frowned

“Unfortunately, Deloras wins every year,”

I scowled and groaned at the mention of that woman. As beautiful as she was, she was rotten inside.

“Why is everyone buzzing about this gathering, it’s just a stupid ball where girls kill themselves to impress men with dresses and others die due to failure of breathing, it’s like we are back in early centuries!”

“Well, the winner is usually Alpha Blanco’s favorite and there is a possibility she might be his Luna,”

“So they just want to impress Blanco? What about the others who are not part of the harem,”
