I didn't know why I felt like I could trust this stranger.
But there was something extraordinary about him; he radiated honesty and sincerity. His presence was calming, almost magnetic, drawing me in without effort. He sat next to me and ordered a juice as well.
“Are you from the area?” I asked him, curiosity evident in my tone.
He nodded.
"Park Slope," he replied. His voice was steady, exuding confidence. His appearance showed that he was by no means poor.
