The room’s tension had not disappeared after my clash with Grace. Whispers still floated through the crowd as people tried to act like they weren’t staring, but their eyes kept sliding toward me and Orion.
Grace stood a few feet away from me, outraged, her smile overtightened and insincere. I could feel her anger all the way across the room.
