Layla’s POV
Orion insisted on driving me home after last night’s party. The drive was quiet, which made it feel tense.
Ever since I found that evidence in his office, I can’t bring myself to pretend for long. His face irritates me, and I need to save myself from this misery.
And the only way is to get those files!!!
After we pulled up to my house, he sat relaxed in the car like everything was normal, as if the betrayal between us had never happened.
“So…when next I’m seeing you,” Orion asked, he has been trying to convince me to come to his company gala tomorrow.
“Will see…” I said politely, got out, but felt a strange mix of anger and determination. I knew what to do, and I couldn’t let myself forget it.
