Alec's POV

She folded her arms over her chest again and I had to control myself not to immediately put her over my knee and show her who was boss. I opened the trunk took out the packed backpack, put it on, and then locked the car. I took Valeria's hand and led her through the forest.

There was a few minutes of silence, but my little devil broke the "What are we doing here?" Even though she was annoyed, I was still happy that she asked.

"Let me surprise you."

Even though I didn't tell her before we got there, I was happy to hear her voice. She huffed again and rolled her eyes.

"What did I say?" She looked at me confused and then understood. "Yes, yes... I shouldn't roll my eyes." She replied meekly. Oh well, I thought to myself.

We had been walking through the forest for what felt like forever and there was no end in sight. If he wants to kill me, he should do it now and not tortu
