Olivia's POV

I was starting to get worried. Noah hadn't shown up for the second day. I had written to him several times and tried to call him but never received an answer. Did he suddenly not want anything to do with me anymore?

Things went so well last week. We did almost everything together and had a lot of fun doing it, or so I thought. Self-doubt slowly began to arise in me, which I found difficult to suppress. Did I do something wrong? Did he say something wrong that hurt him?

What was the reason for his absence or even his sudden disappearance? I couldn't piece it together. Maybe he was kidnapped? Oh God, please don't. But what would be the probability? Not very high, I suspect. And besides, who would be interested in a microbiology student in his early twenties?

It also didn't seem to me that he came from a very rich family, which also speaks against the fact that he was kidnapped. In my opinion, he was too down-to-earth for that. Bu
