Chapter 14. Confused Heart

Jethro drove Benedict and Hadley home in awkward silence after the bomb Benedict dropped. Somehow, it wasn’t easy to bounce back from that surprising revelation, which dragged on until they arrived at their destination.

He stood quietly beside his car with a puzzled expression, watching Benedict and Hadley walk toward their house. He still found the scene playing before his eyes hard to believe. But this was how far his curiosity would take him.

Jethro didn’t want to intrude on their lives longer and moved to get back in his car when he saw the two arrive at their doorstep.
