Chapter 20. Insensitive Boyfriend (1)

Jethro was still in the office at ten o’clock in the evening. He was supposed to leave early because Kathleen had invited him to join her friends at a disco bar, but he got carried away. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his boss’s husband flirting with another woman. Jethro stretched his neck and looked at his watch. It was fortunate that he still had time to accompany his girlfriend. Kathleen didn’t want to go out without him, so Jethro decided to hurry and pick her up. But, just as Jethro was about to leave, he paused for a moment.

When Jethro looked inside the office, he noticed Hadley working. He didn’t want to leave Hadley alone since she remained quiet after catching her husband cheating in the mall. Jethro was also afraid that Hadley would suddenly break down without anyone to accompany her.

Jethro began to wonder if he had done the right thing by avoiding Hadley for the past few days.
